Prada is one of those brands that have been setting trends for years. The clothes they present in their parades predict what we will see in the coming seasons in absolutely all stores, but it seems that their financial results have not accompanied in recent years (a 6% reduction in their global business in 2016) coinciding with their less attractive collections.

We continue in Milan, where Fashion Week takes place between emotional tributes to Karl Lagerfeld and a lot of Italian fashion. The excess, the opulent look and gold continue to be the three cornerstones of this catwalk, which every day has impact parades. Today it has been the turn of four giants and we tell you all its details: from the marvel in leather of Bottega Veneta to the neurotic madness of Marni, the grunge of MSGN and the continuous return to the past of Versace.
The fourth day of Milan Fashion Week continues to leave us great parades and impressive creations for the Fall-Winter 2019/2010 season. The fourth day has been marked by the successful proposals of Salvatore Ferragamo, Cavalli, Missoni and Giorgio Armani. Salvatore Ferragamo Salvatore Ferragamo, who has just promoted Paul Andrew to creative director, has presented his new proposals, where true to his style, leather garments are the protagonists.
Milan Fashion Week has reached one of its most important days with very special parades such as Fendi's, just a couple of days after the disappearance of Karl Lagerfeld, its creative director. It was clear that it was going to be a very emotional day, but a day also full of new and different proposals.
Milan Fashion Week starts in style, with Gucci as the main claim, the most searched online firm arca trend and manages to leave us perplexed with its extravagant proposals. In addition, Alberta Ferretti, show us what will take next fall-winter 2019/2020. Gucci Since the invitation in the form of a paper mache mask from Hermafrodita, Alessandro Michelle has wanted to highlight the androgynous character of the collection, and thus we have seen parading women who wear suits with ties and men who wear floral prints.
With Dsquared2 this edition of Milan Fashion Week ended, all thoughts were on Dean, Dan and the proposal they would present for next summer. Upon entering we find a large brick wall with pipe outlets included. The delays have marked the future of the parades and Dsquared2 did not want to be less starting 55 minutes late.
The fashion system is in the city of Milan about to embark towards Paris, and its crowded streets leave us with images and looks perfect for our inspiration to be decided and to show us ideas with which to dress our day to day. It is what you have to be in the middle of Fashion Weeks.
Salvatore Ferragamo played a trick on one of the firms most appreciated by the Italians, Trussardi started half an hour late (quite little for what Milan used to us) and many people stayed at the doors of the show. Those that were not lost were Chiara Ferragni and her sister Valentina, who arrived at the same time as served and hundreds (without exaggeration) of young girls asked to take a selfie with her.
When a stellar top model appears in a parade or presentation in a few minutes, it becomes a cyclone in social networks (the dream of any firm today). Naomi Campbell did it last night with Versace and Gigi and Bella Hadid continue to do it despite parading in a multitude of parades.
I never imagined seeing Olivia Palermo dressed in this way. The parade of Diesel Black Gold wanted to have a great impact on social networks and therefore summoned the most granada of the sector. Among them, and as an exceptional queen of the event, my dear Olivia Palermo appeared with her rocker look and sitting (in the front row) next to Julia Cummings, Goldilox and Annabelle Belmondo, very much of her style we go.
Diesel Black Gold returned to parade in Milan and this date I did not want to miss. When I arrived at my hotel and saw the pastel pink invitation, I thought something was happening and that the signature of the quintessential black color became sweeter than ever. The parade took place in an old railway station in which the high white ceilings merged perfectly with the metal benches and also with the modern looks of the influencers of the moment, including the Spanish Alexandra Pereira (Lovely Pepa) and Aida Domenech (Dulceida).
Milan Fashion Week continues to leave us with incredible proposals full of elegance. Giorgio Armani makes us fall in love with "Charmani", a concept that combines the classic style with a modern touch, and the result is garments with an extra dose of sophistication thanks to the luxurious details of each piece.
Versace regains the spirit of the supermodels of the 90s by parading an incredible Naomi Campbell, a model who is still in full shape despite doubling the age of most partners. The spring Versace 2016 collection has also been the most interesting, with a lot of color, with a mixture of materials, and with inspiration that goes from sports to disco.
The Max Mara parade is always an early riser, even though few are the faces of the fashion world that resist setting the alarm clock. An Anna Wintour somewhat altered because she does not find her place, Olivia Palermo as ideal as ever and Naty Abascal almost at the last minute as a real star. The minutes before the show begins are the most profitable for the imagination: what will the collection be like?
Prada's parade has taken my breath away. It has a marked retro style (the wallpaper prints of the shirts, dresses and jackets are the most and everything suggests that they will become essential next spring), but at the same time the final finish is incredibly modern. Miucca Prada always impacts, never bores and unlike other designers, in each collection innovates.
Cut-out dolls to present the latest trends. Yes, yes, of those girls we drew on paper, and then cut to dress them exchanging suits and coats - which we had also designed for them - by means of tabs placed at strategic points. A genius that Jeremy Scott has recourse with masterful irony to attract attention and arouse curiosity towards his creations for the next spring-summer 2017.
Milanese fashion week has begun for me with the Fay parade, next to the very busy Gucci for obvious reasons (last year delayed the next parade more than an hour). In an abandoned ship but with the feeling of luxury from minute one, thanks to the raw-colored carpet that covered the floor and walls and the banks with golden legs.
Milan continues to do its best during its Fashion Week and today it is Fendi's turn. A tonic has been repeated during this Spring-Summer 2017 collection: the sport key has made an act of presence and has accompanied (almost) all the designs presented. The stripes have taken part of the prominence and the transparencies teach more about the account.
The fashion world has woken up anxious and nervous this morning. The reason? Milan Fashion Week began and Gucci was one of the star firms of the day. The world loves the follies of Alessandro Michele, its Creative Director, and wants to see more. His designs are carried by street stylers on all occasions, and his proposals for footwear (with hair included) and bags have been viralized.
While in Los Angeles and in the middle of the planet the spotlight was the Oscar Awards, in Milan they continue with their Fashion Week with great parades that are worth reviewing, because they will mark what we will wear next fall-winter 2016/2017. And of course, the fashion that Missoni, Salvatore Ferragamo or Marni portends us is anything but boring and bland.
Milan Fashion Week is one of the most important fashion weeks alongside that of Paris and New York. Italian designers and firms always present the most fun and original collections. In the fourth day of parades we have been able to see the new proposals of Bottega Veneta, Blumarine, Jil Sander and Etro.
