When a parade or presentation appears top model Stellar in a few minutes becomes a cyclone in social networks (the dream of any firm today). Naomi Campbell did it last night with Versace and Gigi and Bella Hadid continue to do it despite parading in a multitude of parades. The Italian firm Tod's did not want to miss the opportunity and that is why it has had Natasha Poly in the original presentation that took place yesterday in Milan.
This time Tod's did not want to make a parade to use, perhaps motivated by the lack of creative direction in which they are seen in recent months or perhaps by the need to innovate. The truth is that this time the guests were the ones doing the catwalk and the models that posed for us, a rather original idea that left no one indifferent as the assembly of Timeless Icons (coinciding with his last campaign) was sublime.
Upon entering I found all those snapshots of the usual icons that still inspire the firm today Tod's and to many of us. In the middle of this, Miroslava Duma taking a picture with this mural in the background or the Princess Deena AbdulAziz (new director of Vogue Arabia) walking with all the glamor she has. All this in a rather dark but perfectly lit climate, with a pretty funny melody that the models and dancers accompanied perfectly.
The models had platforms placed in three different environments, according to the tones and colors, there they moved to create that rhythm that is much appreciated in this type of presentations. Exquisite garments with the best skins and really classic details but with a current touch that, of course, seems to be gradually tracing sales. But without any doubt the jewel in the crown were shoes and bags, where classic colors are mixed with some much more modern (as far as bags are concerned).
